Birthright Volunteer Opportunities

Birthright Counselor
Provides one-on-one crisis intervention and on-going counseling. Makes referrals  
and  follow-up  contacts  with  clients.   Maintains  accurate  and confidential  files.   
 Also   handles  incoming  client  and  business  calls.  Schedules appointments,
greets clients; also does telephone counseling, and provides on-going friendship
to our Birthright clients.

Usually a  four-hour  weekly  commitment.  Training is required and provided.

Birthright Counselor Aide
If you don't feel you can counsel just yet,  you could  join a  counselor on her shift,
and, by  doing  tests, and  just  generally helping her, free the counselor to spend
more time with our clients.

Clothing Ministry
Collects, mends, cleans, irons,  and sorts  baby and  maternity clothing. Variable
time commitment.

Seamstress
Makes or adapts specially needed baby and maternity clothing, plus mends
donated items.
